Triskelion Lore is the website of
Katherine Cailleach Howard
The Triskelion is the Triple Spiral of ancient times. The one pictured here is at Brú na Bóinne, County Meath Ireland (also known as Newgrange) dated approx 3200 BC.
There are many versions of what the Triskele or Triskelion might mean. No one will ever know for sure! Some say it is a celtic symbol that relates to the sun, afterlife and re-incarnation. Others earth, water and sky.
Glenys Livingstone (one of my wonderful teachers-www.pagaian.org) teaches in Pagaian Cosmology that the triskele represents the Triple Goddess: Maiden, Mother and Crone. It is a potent symbol that for me holds creativity, spontaneity and the never ending movements of the wheel of time.
I first met the Triskele at my ancestral spiritual home-Ireland.
Lore, because spirit and stories passed between people and down through and across time with words are so central to my being.
Hence Triskelion Lore.
